DRUM SCANNING
River City Silver offers top-quality drum scans from your color transparencies & slides, color negatives and B&W negatives. Our Dianippon Screen 1045AI drum scanner has a state-of-the-art color engine that analyzes 50,000 points on each image to ensure the highest color fidelity in RGB or Greyscale. The 1045AI is capable of scanning up to an incredible 8000 DPI.
Your film is cleaned, then oil mounted around a precision acrylic drum with a thin clear acetate cover sheet. The oil mounting assures bubble-free mounting, fills small scratches in the emulsion and minimizes dust on the final scan. All scans are then micro-focused on the grain structure of each image. Raw scans are then color and density corrected to match or enhance the original, sharpened to professional standards and dust spotted.

• Scans from 8x10 films, add $10
• Scans from color negatives, add $10, and please provide a print or contact sheet if possible.
• Slides in cardboard mounts: add $4 per slide for handling; slides will be remounted in plastic mounts.
FLATBED SCANNING for FILM
Lower resolution and less tonal range than the drum scanner can do, but more economical for 8x10 size prints and smaller from your film originals. Good option for PowerPoint presentations, email, web use, etc. Older negatives and slides may need retouching time for color correction, scratches, etc.
Scan for 8x10 or smaller file size: ------------------------ $10 per frame or slide
Scan charge includes a few minutes of density/color correction and minimal dust spotting.
