"Even though I'm a print designer, I like to buy my scans in the RGB mode instead of CMYK. That gives me complete flexibility and total control. I can set all of the separation parameters, such as dot gain, total ink density, and black generation. That way I can use the same raw scan for a sheet fed printed brochure, a web press printed magazine, or even newspaper.

I get all of my scans from River City Silver. They deliver top quality drum scans for what has to be the lowest price around. I mean really low, a fraction of what I used to pay elsewhere.
